The Needs Analysis is the launching off point of your special project. The goal of this meeting is to gather any ideas and requests that you may have for your project and synthesize an overview of what you intend your unique custom ring to look like, what you intend it to represent (passing on of family gemstones or perhaps a secret hidden gemstone which symbolizes something special in your relationship), and any other personalization that you wish to include. Have a vague idea, but at a loss for cool details to make it complete? No problem. We can fix that for you as part of our design services once your project is underway.
Having created a framework of what your desired results are, we then give you an idea of what it would be like to work with us in creating your special ring. We will show you samples of projects in CAD computer pictures that we have already created which share some aspects in common with your own. We will also show you a wide range of our work so you get a good understanding of the type of work we can do. This meeting often brings new ideas into your awareness that you had no idea were possible! We will also give you a ball park quote of the ranges of investment required for the project you wish to create. We will also give you options, if required, of different options we could pursue to fit a certain level of investment that you are comfortable with.

Usually there are multiple ways to create a custom ring, but there is one superior way to achieve all that you want and give birth to an outstanding work of art, with perfect balance in the design, with excellence in the precious metal craftsmanship, with a cohesive, integrated, and functional design concept. The Design Consultation is a one-on-one meeting with either our design coordinator and gemstone specialist , David Penner, or with Vancouver jewelry designer and artist, Jennifer Gargon. In this consult, you will be guided through questions and discussions pertaining to your preferences on how you wish the details of the special design for your particular custom jewelry piece to be accomplished. Our expertise will be at your disposal to help you with decisions, make suggestions for you to choose from, or simply make the decisions for you - whichever suits your personal style. Gemstone Selection....Combined with your Design Consultation is your Gemstone Selection, which is the time when you make final decisions about which gemstones you are going to incorporate into your new custom ring and what qualities you want those gemstones to have. This is where you can rely on our knowledge and over 49 years of experience to educate you with the information to choose a fantastic gemstone which will not only work perfectly within the physical and practical requirements of your custom designed jewelry project, but will also exceed your expectations with its beauty. We source gemstones from all over the world, depending on the needs of our clients. We specialize in providing our clients with excellent value in high colour, ideal and near ideal Canadian Diamonds. David Penner, our gemstone specialist, can personally educate you and lead you through his proprietary gemstone selection process. Some clients would like to know only a little and rely on us to do the work in selecting a gemstone for them, while other clients want to learn every possible detail from us and have more input into the selection of their gemstone. Whatever your style, we are happy to accommodate you and secure that perfect gemstone which makes you smile every time you look at it!A note about deposits on custom jewelry projects...As you will be accessing proprietary knowledge and expertise during your design consultation, we require a deposit to cover the design and CAD computer programming time spent on your project prior to commencing this meeting. The amount of the deposit will be discussed at your Needs Analysis meeting and is dependant on the complexity of your project, and hence the time we have to invest in order to bring your deisgn to life in CAD computer renderings. As CAD programming is time consuming, and as proper design and artistic know-how can make or break the success of a project, we are sure you will understand the logic of requiring a desposit prior to investing many hours of our time in your specific and special custom jewelery project.Step 3. See CAD Computer Photos of Your Finished Jewelry....Once our team of experts has absorbed all the information from your design consultation meeting, synthesized the complete concept design, worked out the technical design specifications, and completed many hours of CAD programming, your ring is ready for you to see. Most clients find this especially cool. From all the ideas that have floated around your head, your ring is now in high quality computer photos (technically called 'renders') for you to check out. Now, you can see your model from any angle you like....zoom in on detail....zoom out and take in the overall design. Clients love it!
At this point, you will do a final critique of your ring design together with one of our experts. As a team, you will systematically view all the salient design features and gemstone features so that you will be sure to notice all the details of your ring prior to manufacturing in metal. Any changes or adjustments that need to be made will be taken care of at this point, prior to manufacturing in metal. Step 4. Finished Ring !After the team of Jewellery Artists 3D experts have created the wax model (via robotics and CAD/CAM), cast the ring using state-of-the-art facilities, assembled the different parts using new LASER technology, filed and finished the metal with top excellence in craftsmanship, and finally set the gemstones carefully and precisely, your ring is ready for you to wear....or to present to your loved one!

Just a note: For transactions done in our Vancouver store, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac Debit Cards, cash and bank wire transfers. We do not accept regular personal or business cheques, and we only accept bank drafts from clients previously established with our store. Unfortunately, there is just too much fraud with personal cheques and increasing incidence of fraudulent bank drafts. If you are new to our store, and wish to pay by bank draft, please let the management know and we can see what can be arranged. Our Ongoing Commitment....Over the months and years to come, as the owners of Jewellery Artists 3D, we will always be here to answer your questions and help you with other custom projects to either match the first one we created for you, or explore an entirely different theme and direction. It is not uncommon for us to receive deposits on second projects the day that the first project is delivered to our first time clients. Once they see what wonderful, high caliber and exquisite work we do, especially with the precision of our 3D computer technology, clients are often happily "hooked". Most other custom manufactured products on the market are not created with the same amount of care, attention to detail, expertise and precision as compared to our 3D computer designed jewelry.
